FAQs

What do the Save the Date and Invitation mean?
Our Save the Date is inspired by the traditional Mexican game Lotería. Similar to bingo, Lotería is played using a deck of illustrated cards rather than numbered balls. Each card features a unique image and number, though the numbers are often secondary to the artwork itself. For our version, we selected images and numbers that are meaningful to us, including references to our birthdays and the views from our wedding venue.

Our invitation suite offers a preview of the wedding weekend to come. The Welcome Party card is inspired by the iconic Clase Azul tequila bottle and reflects the festive spirit of the evening—we hope you'll come ready to celebrate, dance, and have fun. The Brunch card takes the form of a concha, Jake's favorite Mexican pastry. Also known as pan dulce, conchas are made with a soft, brioche-like dough and topped with a sweet, shell-shaped sugar crust. We hope you'll enjoy one with us at the farewell brunch!

When should I RSVP?
Please RSVP through our website by Monday, August 17, 2026, although earlier
RSVPs are greatly appreciated.

What should I wear?
Welcome Party
Cocktail Attire. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear blazers, and ladies can wear short or long dresses. The event includes both indoor and outdoor spaces, and evenings in Mexico City can be cool. We recommend bringing a shawl, wrap, or light jacket.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Black Tie. We ask that gentlemen please wear tuxedos and ladies wear floor-length gowns. As our reception venue dates back to the 1500s, some of the flooring is uneven. If you plan to wear heels, we recommend opting for block heels rather than stilettos.

Farewell Brunch
Casual. Sundresses, jeans and a tee, or even your travel attire are all welcome.

Will transportation be provided?
Welcome Party
Shuttle service will be provided to and from the venue for guests staying at The Ritz-Carlton, The Four Seasons, and the Marriott Reforma.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception
Shuttles will depart from The Ritz-Carlton to the reception venue immediately following the ceremony. Return transportation after the reception will be available to The Ritz-Carlton,
The Four Seasons, and the Marriott Reforma.

We kindly ask all guests to arrive at the ceremony at The Ritz-Carlton. The hotel is approximately a five-minute walk from The Four Seasons and a fifteen-minute drive from the Marriott Reforma. Traffic in Mexico City can be unpredictable, so please allow extra travel time.

Farewell Brunch
Transportation will not be provided.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Please plan to arrive by 5:45 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM.

Are children invited?
While we adore your little ones, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration.
We appreciate your understanding.

May I bring a guest?
Due to venue capacity limitations, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Please let us know if you think there may be a mistake.
